Efficient pathing program3:3 or 5:5 large 1 learner 1 expert 1 normal dger or 2 learners/expers and 1 normal dger (it will mostly be a duo between the learner and the rand) Learner is followed throughout the floor. in every room they have to stop and say what they will do next eg. which way to carry gt through/drop gt and path 1 way or go to their gate etc and EXPLAIN why. the expert will then give them feedback on their decision whether it was right or a different one could have been made to save more time you should not aim to complete these floors in a normal or fast time, they are only to help people learn to path efficiently so they know this information and can then apply it in an instant in a real floor. This program is mainly based on the pathing but other tips can be given if seen necessary Dont be afraid to volunteer to be in this program, this can really save you time in floors or even if you can path well but just want to test if youre doing everything correctly. Gating and Floor Management Program5:5 floors with 1 learner keying and 1+ experts Aiming to teach people the best ways to utilize your teams gates as well as organising, assigning and remembering gates for other members of your time. To make sure whole map is covered, to know who is free gate so you can send them to do paths, so double gating is avoided (or in a case where multiple people are free gate for a single door there is no confusion as to who will break/needs to break and so that at least one person keeps the gate) ***just some ideas, I will be refining/adding to these in the future. pls post some feedback or anything u think could be added to these or any new ideas of ur own, ty

Awesome, also the recruits should have 1 mentor as a start. As sug suggested the mentor will make a thread were the mentor can give feed back etc.We had some issues with keyers who's not willing to team with recruits. Its maybe due to peoples lack of knowledge about the dip.

looks really good to me
Something I think will build a lot of map awareness is similar to how you guys trial in #keyers, where the person has to completely control the team. Although this might be difficult and frustrating at times for newer players, I think they could benefit from this greatly.
We really need to emphasize how to properly carry the GT and how to properly run the GT path with a FG and/or as an "extra", for lack of an appropriate term, or a person who runs the bonus and DE paths.
Anything I can do to help...
I'm ridiculously tired atm, but when I wake up... :>
thanks for posting this. ive been procrastinating for a long time.

I really like the stop motion idea and kevin had one similar that we did before with defy, where he explicitly stated paths "how you guys trial in #keyers". we just got unfortunate maps. I think with how to properly carry gt alot of guesswork is going on with new recruits, since they genuinely don't know how dungeoneering works(of course, they can't be blamed). I definitely think if we do it situationally, per room, anyone in the trial will grasp the concepts MUCH better/faster than they would struggling to keep up in normal paced floors. Our pace may be too brisk for some people when it comes to learning, which is why it should be a separate ordeal(IF they have interest).

yes the program is not mandator, unless they are sub 105.It can only work for those people whos willing to not forced too.

I think the slow pace of the pathing program will work to its desired effect but I'm still trying to think of a proper structure for the gating & floor management program. My experience with these floors that the person has to completely control the team is that there is not enough communication from the person being trailled and triallers end up gating things or acting without being told on impulse and start to dg as they would normally due to habit rather than stand still or do something wrong. This negates the intentions of the trial and will happen often with weaker triallers. Even the circumstance of the map can separate everyone and the direct instructions from the person being trialled cant be given in as much detail.
The concept of the learner controlling the entire team is good, we may just need a different method to execute it or easier options because i doubt sub 105 dungers (the compulsory audience) will be able to control a full team in a normal paced floor, this requires much more skill of a keyer or maven type ability.

Maybe if the the sub-105 DGers (gonna refer to them as the student) aren't at the level of controlling a whole team, you can do a similar style floor/floors where the other teammates kind of narrate what they're doing and why. It could help teach something that might seem elementary, but is brand new or confusing for the student.

not a bad idea Traaavis. I want to collaborate all this info into 3 main headings for each program: Structure (floor size, how many ppl, how many learners/teachers/mutual participants etc), Purpose (what this trial aims to achieve, why it is useful and what areas to teach) and Method (how exactly to carry out these programs to efficiently teach the desired information in a way thats appropriate for the target audience). - will do this tomorrow, i gtg now Just so the programs are very clear and admins or teachers know exactly what to do (in relation to the program, not dging ) and what to teach. p.s. i would still like to come up with a more rigid method for the gating and floor management program rather than just going into a normal floor and trying to teach this. any ideas would be great

But with the gating and floor management, the 3:3 with two ghosting might be the best way to handle it. slow paced 5:5 floors may be too cumbersome and gating can be unfortunate on those maps

by ghosting u mean waiting to be told what to do? by ghosting I mean 2 tutors 3 students, similar to dgs pathshops but the focus being gating in particular and organization of the floor

I realise i need to rise to your level of quoting expertise, so 3 learners dging (replaced with neutral dgers if not enough learners) and 2 teachers following them around commenting but not doing anything

I think organising 2 others would be a good start, while heavily mentored by teachers who would have to attentively follow the learners to know at the first moment when/if moves need to be made. After this slower paced, more basic method they could then move on to regular 5:5 floors where a teacher or 2 analyses their ability to manage their team.
Another idea is that these programs are compulsory to be successfully completed to a fairly high standard when applying for carrier (pathing program) and keyer (both programs) as they are extremely relevant to the requirements of that rank and can be used to test the trialee's fundamental knowledge in these areas before being tested in normal speed dungeons in the formal trial - just a suggestion.

It's important that these auto DIP members(who may be struggling to keep up) understand the concepts before they get thrown into the deep end. I also think integration for rank ups is a smart idea, they'll be more prepared for the trials they take and have a better idea of what we're looking for. edit:
