If you're reading this, you have an Admin or higher rank in the clan chat and forums! If you don't have this rank but are somehow reading this thread, please do not use your inexorable hacking skills to disable my net!
What is an admin?
You have proven yourself loyal and trustworthy to the clan. You are a valuable asset and we appreciate your contributions to the collective entity that is 3bo. Remember that we recognize that you are human, and you will never be blamed for allowing an idiot into the CC, so don't stress out too much; it's not the end of the world. (we've locked Caleb up in a cage to ensure this!)
What is the role of an admin?
The role of an admin, which is shared dually with a coordinator, is to moderate players wishing to join the CC. We don't want just anyone joining the CC. We want only respectful and positive individuals granted access. Your job is too filter out all the retards and invite only those capable of improvement and growth.
How do I do this
In order to know which applicants to accept or reject, you're going to need to know our application procedure. I will attempt to spell it out as clearly as possible as to avoid dubiousness in this vital area.
Players with a Dungeoneering level of 120 may be instantly invited and given 3 stripes (sergeant) upon acceptance.
Players 110-119 Dungeoneering must do a trial with an admin or a higher rank.
Players 105-109 Dungeonerring must do a trial with an admin and receive 3 vouches from 3bo members.
Players below 105 Dungeoneering are subject to the Dungeoneering Initiative Program. Make sure you read that also!
What other requirements must be present?
Dungeoneering ability can be taught, but attitude is often an intrinsic and pervasive quality that cannot be altered. For this reason, the attitude of a potential recruit is far more important than the players actual skill.
If the player comes off as disrespectful or egotistical, you shall reject them from the clan. This all comes down to your discretion, and I trust you guys, that's why you're the rank that you are- don't let me down.
Since 3bo is an english speaking clan, recruits must be able to communicate well enough for them to be understood whilst in a Dungeon.
What am I looking for in a trial? How should I do it?
I hate to reiterate, but I want to be crystal clear. The only thing to worry about in the trial is the attitude of the player. Maybe the player hasn't had the opportunity to learn how to Dungeoneer well, or maybe they don't completely understand the skill. As long as they're willing to learn, they should be accepted into the clan.
When you trial, don't treat the recruit special in any way. Assign the player gates like you would any other player! Don't avoid the player; don't thrust the player into the limelight.
Participating in the DIP:
Coordinator ranks will be expected to actively participate in these programs by being 'mentors' for clan members who request to be a part of the program. For now, there is no required number of students for each coordinator to mentor for and at some times there may be no-one applying for the program but we trust you to want to help out these programs/encourage people to sign up for them and actively participate in mentoring as stated above.
How to mentor for someone:
When people apply to participate in the DIP on the forums, you should reply saying you are happy to help them and you can organise when you are both available to do these floors in cc. If a person asks to join the DIP from in the cc, encourage them to read about it and apply on the forums, but this is not compulsory. Maria is keeping a list of mentors and their students in the coordinator forums which will be updated from the application thread or if you just let her know
Any questions?
