just came on and saw this in cc: (order of images is top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right) after pming some of them my understanding is mgt china rq a clan floor because they failed levers once. then on the next floor he got a hex drop and the only unhexed member of the team wanted it, he said he was going to bind 2 hexes and they apparently tried to kick him. he then rq that floor aswell and the flaming started in cc. this resulted in several of them leaving 3bo and transformed the chat into a negative destructive environment. (please read pics above) this behaviour is totally unnacceptable, the rqing and the flaming. i will be making some sort of conduct thread on a public forum in the near future. lately i have noticed quite a few people leaving 3bo for good because of stupid reasons like this that could have been prevented - i do not want this to continue. it effects everyone in the clan who hears it; their opinion of 3bo and our reputation lowers. there is a clear difference between harmless trolling (eg me making a joke at snuffy) and flaming and derogatory comments that are highly destructive for the clan environment. you all know what i mean so can you please make an effort to stop this as soon as you see it to prevent things like this from happening - it is your job as admins+ to help maintain a healthy clan environment. i am extremely annoyed, this needs to be addressed and fixed - we cant afford to keep losing people. please post any feedback/relevant input for the code of conduct thread.

Jesus this is childish... Why the hell kick do they kick A CLANMEMBER for hex? We've told the clan so many times that we don't RQ in a clanfloor... But they don't care. They are both wrong; Kicking a clanmember and Ragequitting floors. This is just unacceptable. We got so many people helping us to rebuild this clan and there are some idiots who fk this up for the entire clan.

some people are just selfish and arrogant, never in the clan should a bind be sold. we're here to help each other, and then frau binds 2 hexes just to say he did(when 7 kg had no hex). the stigma changes and you can feel it like the tension in a room. Negative attitudes, kicking, ragequitting, all of it isn't in the nature of the environment we're trying to create for the members and it's absolutely ridiculous that this even happens in the first place. how is it beneficial for anyone?

This kind of shit pisses me off so much. I'll never understand why people think it's acceptable to behave like this.

I don't want to sound like a cynic here, but the only way to deter people from this behaviour is to set firm RULES. Guidelines or whatever will have no effect.
That brings up the question, what should the repercussions be for breaking whatever rules? A kick may be too harsh. Perhaps we could have some sort of warning system but that might be logistically tiresome, and I don't have faith that people will always post in these forums once they've warned someone.
It is a bit of a conundrum. I'm all for setting some rules, but we need to carefully weigh both the pros and the cons.

i think rules are a good path to go down. it will just be hard to assess the level of the offence and deal consistent and fair punishment. although, i still think action is necessary - many people have noticed an alarming amount of people leaving the clan.
for now, try to just interfere as soon as something like this arises in the cc.
Kicking straight off in most cases is too harsh and the person may not come back after a temporary ban, so i dont like this option either. the only other way we can enforce this is through verbal warnings in pm where you explain what they did wrong and that the behaviour is not acceptable.
even though kevin may be right, i think we should test a 3 strike system where admins+ have to post explaining the persons offence in a thread after giving their verbal warning. we would have to heavily rely on high ranks doing the right thing for this to work.

Is there a way to temporarily mute the cc for ranks below a certain level? If multiple people ignore admin+ requests to stop trolling/flaming or whatever the disruption may be, perhaps we could mute the cc for like 15 minutes as a last resort for intolerance?
Idk seems a bit juvenile but since we can't temporarily kick people with the current clan system, it could solve something?

if they refuse to pm u and stop what theyre doing. u go to settings > permissions > chat > untick set this as a minimum to talk in the chat to the rank the people are. this is a good last resort untill the issue is discussed with the offender in pm

i was going to suggest muting cc but we should really save that for when it gets out of hand. in the example posted that would have been an appropriate time. but for something we can moderate fairly effectively it doesnt seem necessary

I personally don't think that muting the cc is a viable option. We're punishing innocent bystanders for the obnoxiousness of some other fgt.
It always depends on the situation, but usually if you threaten a ban or give a firm warning, the person will stop. If they don't, and what they're doing is malicious in intent, then a kick should be given. We don't want people like this.
If you feel like a kick may be too drastic, the ignore list is a much overlooked but highly useful feature. Advise clanmates to use this.

Kevin for president. I totally agree with this thread and all the posts, this kind of behaviour is really not necessary. Hopefully we can solve these problems more easily in the future.
